How We Support Hospitals
Program Support
Each hospital is assigned a dedicated TeleSAFE professional to support its needs. We will support you through all steps of implementation and ongoing program success and are available for questions and support. Together, we will develop and maintain a detailed plan for your facility’s needs and continually review additional needs, such as supporting refresher training for new staff. We can also help you maintain your equipment and serve as a liaison between your facility and the manufacturer.
Community
Partnership
TeleSAFE is available to support connecting you with your community to establish and build strong relationships. We are available to attend your local sexual assault response team (SART) committee meetings, support or facilitate awareness campaigns, and are there to support your hospital’s needs within your community as you see best.
Information for DAs
Evidence Collection
A SAFE kit can aid law enforcement in the identification of offenders and provide important information that can ultimately help in the prosecution of offenders. The TeleSAFE staff are highly trained to perform these important exams, and will support hospitals in collecting the best possible evidence, ensuring documentation is strong, and maintaining proper chain of custody to furnish law enforcement in support of any criminal proceedings.
TeleSAFE’s provider and your hospital provider(s) may both be called to testify in a court of law. Our providers have ample experience testifying in court and are prepared to do so.
