Integrative Wellness

St. Peter's Health Partners is pleased to offer a complement of integrative wellness programs designed to meet the specific needs of individuals diagnosed with cancer. We believe that all individuals diagnosed with cancer should be afforded access to integrative medicine and therapies. The Center provides integrative wellness programs that help patients live healthier, more stress-free lives. These integrative wellness services are offered free of charge thanks to the generous donation of the Karen L. Mosseau Fund and the Nancy B. Clemente Fund.

Thrivers Connection (Free Educational Luncheon Series) 

This free luncheon program provides information to help improve the quality of life for those living with cancer. The program features guest speakers who discuss topics selected by patients. It is a collaboration of St. Peter's, the Nancy B. Clemente Fund and the American Cancer Society. For more information, call the American Cancer Society at 518-220-6960.

Patient-Centered Wellness 

The cancer patient navigation program provides support to individuals diagnosed with cancer. Our patient navigator is an oncology-certified nurse who will act as an advocate and serve as a liaison between the patient and the cancer care team. Patient navigation removes barriers and saves lives.

Rehabilitation Support 

Our staff provides early referral to lymphedema therapy, and occupational and physical therapy, which can contribute to a better quality of life during and after cancer treatment.

Thriver's Therapeutic Art Studio

Art Therapy is the use of art to express the journey of a person as they experience, discover their emotions as they relate to their lives. Resources for continuous art expression during the cancer journey are offered to participants with monthly guidance from a Licensed Therapist and sessions are weekly for the opportunity to create and process expressions, reflective journaling and mindfulness meditation.

Nutrition Wellness

Dietitians work closely with patients to provide comprehensive nutritional care. Our dietitians provide support that improves nutritional deficiencies, minimizes complications and side effects of cancer, helps patients maintain muscle mass, and promotes healing.

Yoga Classes 

Regular exercise has been shown to stimulate the body's natural anti-cancer defenses. We offer yoga classes especially designed for patients with cancer, that provide an ideal form of whole-body exercise and can help restore motion and flexibility in a gentle, balanced manner.

Therapeutic Massage 

Studies suggest that massage can decrease stress, anxiety, depression, pain and fatigue. Our Center offers massage therapy services for patients diagnosed with cancer which can also help reduce pain and stiffness, increase mobility and rehabilitate injured muscles.

Faith Salon 

Our Faith Salon is a full services hair and wig salon. We provide you with hair services free of cost. Our all volunteer staff also helps to introduce new patients to wigs and non-carcinogenic hair products.

Everyday Living Boutique 

A Boutique of vintage clothing and personal care products. Th rifting is easy at the Everyday Living Boutique.

Food and Gas

We have gas cards to help you through your journey. You are already burdened enough- trying to make ends meet-we can provide a little help to get you there. 
We provide free groceries. Food to help when you don't quite have what you need. If you find you need food ... even if it is because you don't have the energy to take a trip to the grocery store, just tell one of our staff and we can get you set up with some food.

Cancer Fitness and Wellness Program 

The Cancer Fitness and Wellness Program is a free eight-week personalized exercise program designed to help individuals manage the physical side effects of cancer treatment and aid in the recovery process.

Thrivers' Cooking Club 

The American Cancer Society, Nancy B. Clemente and St. Peter's Health Partners team up to off Rx Food- cooking classes ... the purpose of this series is to become comfortable in the kitchen while learning the experience of cooking. The foods prepared will adhere to the diets suggested as preventative to cancers and that support those currently in therapies.
