PN to RN Transition
Entering the AD Program
For progression into our Associate Degree program, students must apply for, and be granted, admission. Official transcripts are required as part of the application. Students who apply for advanced placement are not automatially admitted.
- Start our program in NSG I
- Be admitted as an Advanced Placed LPN into NSG II, Medical Surgical Nursing
Prerequisites
The courses below must be completed, with a grade of C or better, before an applicant may be placed in the second year of our programs. These courses, along with other non-nursing courses in our curriculum, may be taken concurrently with the Transition Course.
- Anatomy and Physiology I and II (must have been taken within the last 5 years);
- English Composition I; and
- General and Developmental Psychology.
