As I said before, Dr. Heckman is a very qualified and talented surgeon in a field the general public knows little about. The screening for pancreatic cancer and other biliary precanceatic conditions is something, I think, must be given a greater public platform and there would be no better person than Dr. Jason Heckman as the point person in that medical endeavor. I wanted to pass that along to him yesterday but forgot. There are tens of thousands of gall bladder procedures done annually in the United States and until a blood screening test for precancerous pancreatic conditions is developed, the testing that is necessary for gall bladder surgeries, could easily be augumented to include the pancreas.
