St. Peter’s Hospital
PGY-2 Ambulatory Care
Pharmacy Residency
Program Purpose
The PGY2 Ambulatory Care Residency at St. Peter’s Health Partners (SPHP) is a 52-week post-graduate program designed to build on the PharmD education and PGY1 training to guide pharmacists seeking specialization in ambulatory care pharmacy practice. Upon successful completion of the program, a resident will be eligible for advanced patient care, specialized roles, and ambulatory care board certification.
Program Overview
The St. Peter’s Health Partners PGY2 program will create well-rounded ambulatory care pharmacists by offering rotations in a variety of ambulatory care settings. The resident will learn how pharmacists are integrated into different patient care teams and how to provide different types of patient care services. Residents are expected to complete an IRB approved research project and present during an in-person conference (typically NYSCHP Annual Assembly).
