“Peer to peer education is so effective,” Zampi commented. “Historically, this event has been about encouraging people to quit smoking for a day. Since we’re in a school, I wanted to do something that would encourage students to to go tobacco and vape free.”
The materials Zampi had brought for the SADD club to use included many statistics about the dangers of vaping, e-cigarettes, and tobacco products that are incorrectly regarded as “safe” because they are not cigarettes. In fact, they can be more dangerous because they are loaded up with flavoring agents that make them seem more desirable.
