Are you living with atrial fibrillation? Atrial fibrillation is a rapid fluttering or quivering of the heart and it affects about 2.3 million Americans. St. Peter’s Health Partners will host an Atrial Fibrillation Patient Education Day for patients to learn more about the condition.
Patient education day will focus on:
- What is Atrial Fibrillation (AFib)?
- Lifestyle changes and medications
- Oral anticoagulation to prevent stroke in AFib
- Preventing stroke with use of the WatchmanTM device
- Catheter ablation to treat AFib
The distinguished speakers will be Guillermo Sosa-Suarez, M.D., Director, St. Peter’s Heart Rhythm Center, Robert Phang, M.D., Albany Associates in Cardiology, Gregory Bishop, M.D., Albany Associates in Cardiology, and Ian Santoro, M.D., Capital Cardiology Associates.
