Millions of women experience urinary leakage, yet many never seek help. For some, embarrassment is the biggest barrier to seeking care. For others, they may think it's a normal part of the aging process. Understanding why it's happening is the first step toward finding the right solution.

Kathleen Kosinski, PT, CLT, lead pelvic physical therapist at St. Peter's Health Partners' Pelvic Health Center, discussed the common types of urinary incontinence during an appearance on WTEN's Women's Health Wednesday. She stressed the importance of getting evaluated sooner rather than later, and how pelvic health therapy and lifestyle strategies can help people return to the activities they enjoy with confidence.
