Sarah Pesek, MD, breast surgeon with St. Peter's Breast Surgery, appeared on WTEN's Women's Health Wednesday segment, where she discussed the results of a clinical trial recently published in the Annals of Surgical Oncology.

Dr. Pesek was a principal investigator for the large, international trial that focused on new technology to make breast cancer surgery more precise and effective.

From the interview:

St. Peter’s Health Partners used the Breast Cancer Locator System on certain patients and found the new technology did a significantly better job in enabling surgeons to remove the complete tumor with no cancer left at the edge of the excision which reduced the need for follow up surgeries.
