Changes in 2014
On October 1, 2013, you will be given the opportunity to enroll in a New York Health Benefit Exchange for Health Insurance.
- Enrollment begins October 1, 2013
- Anyone who is currently UNINSURED must enroll in a NY Health Benefit Exchange
- St. Peter’s Health Partners Financial Assistance Program will require you to apply for Medicaid / NY Health Benefit Exchange
Who can get insurance through the New York Health Benefit Exchange?
If you live in New York State and are not eligible for Medicaid you will be able to purchase health insurance through the NY Health Benefit Exchange.
Low and moderate income individuals will qualify for tax credits and cost-sharing benefits to reduce the cost of health insurance purchased through the Exchange.

Starting in October 2013, you will be able to shop for and enroll in health insurance through the Exchange for coverage that begins on January 1, 2014.
Support will be available online, in-person in your community and by phone – you pick what works best for you.
